Fondation Hartung-Bergman

The Andromakers in residency at the foundation

For the 3rd year in a row, the « Nuits Carrées » settle in the Hartung-Bergman foundation to showcase the duo “Andromakers”.

As happens every year, the « Nuits Carrées » and the Hartung-Bergman foundation get together to celebrate creation and artistic exchange. This time, the electro pop duo “Andromakers” will surround this place dedicated to artistic creation for a week in residence from the 7th to the 11th of January. The high time of this residence will take place on Friday, the 11th of January, at 9 pm, for an intimate concert limited to 80 people.

Like most of the artists welcomed in residence at the foundation, “Andromakers” has a special relationship with the Antibes Festival of the “Nuits Carrées”. This duo composed of Nadège Teri and Lucille Hochet has been discovered during the 6th edition of this festival and has conquered the heart of Sebastien Hamard, its artistic director. Analogic keyboards followers, the girls create quiet melancholic melodies with a reverie atmosphere, a mix between Björk and Au Revoir Simone. An intimate universe, balanced between energy and fragility that has not escaped the notice of this talent hunter.

Created in 2010, the artist’s residencies organized by the « Nuits Carrées » at the Hartung-Bergman foundation are the result of a shared vision: to encourage the creation process before bringing a work and a public face to face. This is an obvious convergence for these two structures of Antibes that share common values and goals towards contemporary art for the one, and toward musical creation for the other.

Key player in the cultural landscape, the Hartung-Bergman foundation has always positioned itself as a creative place dedicated to the contemporary art practices, a residence opened to artists and researchers. These artist’s residencies are a unique opportunity to discover this outstanding venue. This collaboration is also a will to open to a wider public and to develop a local anchorage.
