Her works of the final
years – the Antibes years – were larger and larger, or very small, as
in the series she called "mini peinture". In them Bergman moved
towards a greater and greater simplification of the motif, an increasingly
precise polishing of the forms, a homogenisation of colour and more even
surfaces.
